Listening Comprehension
You hear a conversation, an announcement or a short talk, then answer questions on it. The recording plays twice; the transcript appears after you answer.
You hear a conversation, an announcement or a short talk, then answer questions on it. The recording plays twice; the transcript appears after you answer.
Method
- Before playing, read the questions and options: who, where, when, why?
- Note numbers, times, places and names as you hear them.
- Listen for change words: but, actually, instead, changed to — the right fact comes after them.
- “Where is this?” questions are solved by place words (order, menu → restaurant).
- Wrong options are often a number or time that was mentioned but then changed (the old gate, the old time).
- Idioms are not literal: give me a hand = help me.
